One Sun full lyrics Enough for everyone - one sun Me, me in the fields You, you in the sea Rivers bleeding dry No birds in the sky One sun Fly above the clouds Taste the salt in the sea Blood and tears in the sand Come take my hand One sun Enough for everyone All under one sun When all is said and done Enough for everyone One sun Time not on our side No place to hide Below a wounded sky Millions breathing a lie One sun Cities gathering dust Villages fall in the sea People come and go Like the winter snow One sun Enough for everyone All under one sun When all is said and done Enough for everyone One sun

about

Here’s a song for the planet by Lotti Eno with music produced by Lol Hammond and Chris Coco. It grew out of an idea inspired by Lol Hammond’s chill out classic Baby Piano and grew into something completely new.
The lyrics reflect the deep anxiety felt by many people about the future of the planet.
The vocal performance feels innocent and heartfelt making the simple message of concern and the need for togetherness more powerful - Enough for everyone - One Sun!

Lotti Eno says:
To me, One Sun contains a notion of togetherness.
It is interwoven with messages that speak to the personal and universal.
Music has the power to allow for your thoughts and feelings to wander, simultaneously it is a vessel for sharing stories and messages in an emotive way, which I feel this song does almost subliminally.

Lol Hammond says:
I always wanted to write a song about the state of the environment, and I think it takes on even more power being sung by someone in their mid twenties. I also like songs which deal with powerful serious subject matter but the backing track is quite restrained, pretty even, I like a lot of mid seventies soul records in that style.

Chris Coco says:
This song emerged from an attempt to make a new version of Lol’s Balearic classic Baby Piano, that didn’t really come off, but I think we ended up with something much better - a song with a similar structure for a different time, and one that reflects our love of this beautiful world and our concerns for the future.

Emma Croft, Video director says:
"When I heard the song 'One Sun' I wanted to make a film that celebrated the beauty of the land where we live, whilst at the same time acknowledging the deeper issues of climate change raised  by Lol Hammonds excellent lyrics. Having the perspective of a young woman, the fantastic Lotti Eno, to tell this story made it interesting and a joy to work on.
As a filmmaker I love collaborating and even though we were such a small team we worked well together. I found we had such common ground and had a lot of fun making this piece of work. For me it is a subject matter that I wanted to approach differently, so suggesting the worry that the younger generations are feeling about the place they live felt like the darker message in the lyrics became accessible and that this was the right approach.
